Error when applying materials on Classic Messy Bob Hair by Linday

Greetings,

I very recently purchased and installed the Classic Messy Bob Hair for G8F and G9 by Linday. However, I am getting the following error message every time I attempt to apply a preset material on the hair:

"Error loading asset: E:/DAZ Studio 4 Content/People/Genesis 9/Hair/Linday/Classic Messy Bob Hair/Iray Materials/Black/CMBH G8F Hair 01 Ultimate Black.duf

Operation failed"

I heard there was a previous product by the same artist that had the same issue, but it was eventually resolved by an update by the artist.

Will there be an update to Classic Messy Bob Hair that will hopefully prevent the error from happening again?

Thanks for your time.

They are working for me both both G8F and G9.

What is the full error text from the log (Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File)?

How are you applying the materials? It is hieracical materials.

No issue on my side... so you selected G8 figure or the hair per se before applying the H.Mat preset ? You may attach your DS log ~~

To answer your question, I selected the hair before applying the preset.

It seems that you're using a G9 figure with this hair... If so, have you had the latest G9 Starter Essentials product updated ?

Besides, is the hair currently Parented to the figure ? If it's not Parented to the figure, you'll get that error ~~

If the hair is well Parented under the figure, as a test, you may try: select your G9 figure, go to menu: Edit > Figure > Scene Identification..., change Node Name from Genesis9 to Genesis8Female, then select the hair, apply the H.Material preset, see if it works.

If it works, go to DIM, check and update G9 Starter Essentials product.. because latest updated G9 figures supports G8 Aliases, so you can apply G8's H.Material Presets directly to G9 or the sub-items under G9...

Re-installing the G9 Starter Essentials with the latest update did the trick, thus resolving the issue. Thanks very much.
