Need help creating a new content library.

Hello,

I want to create a new content library that contains only selected content. I know (I think) how to add a new library to Daz Studio so that the content can be seen, but what I don't know, and can't seem to find, is a listing of the basic sub-folders that need to be in that library. Can anyone point me to a good tutorial, or provide an explanation on what are the basic requirements of a new content library?

You don't have to worry about any "required" sub-folders, they will be created by the products themselves as they are installed. The thing is, you can't install the same content twice, even in a different library using DIM (don't know about Connect, but I suspect not).

If you want to create custom categories in a separate tree in the Categories view (Create Category from... for folders and assets), you can put whatever you want wherever you want as many times as you want. It only makes a reference to the original files.

You can also make another Library (with Content Directory Manager) filled with links to the original items in a similar fashion (Create Link(s) for Asset(s)...), creating the folders you want, where you want. The new Library will appear as a new entry under DAZ Studio Formats (and/or Poser Formats, if you wish). This structure can be wrangled outside of Studio in a file explorer.
