Seriously concerned about DAZ Connect

If I"m understanding it correctly, the whole benifit to DAZ Connect is that we no longer have to download the content to our systems and that we can just access it online, correct?

If that's the case, then here's the big probem with it, as I see and tell me if I'm wrong. It all comes down to the amount of content we have, time and bandwidth or the amouth of traffic to the DAZ Content!  As I write this post, my DAZ Install Manager is failing big time. Dowload Failure after Dowload Failure, while trying to pick up updates to the new verson of DAZ, which is supposed ot support DAZ connect. Didn't anybody think that might be a problem, before rolling that upgrade out?

It get's better though, because I have in my DAZ Public folder alone over 700 GB worth of Content. I would hate to think of accessing all that online, because it takes the DAZ Smart Content Library several minutes of searching everytime i use it and it take a lot longer, when a use the Smart Content Library to brows the files.

Seriously, really did this get tested extensively outside of the DAZ Network, where it wasn't under ideal conditions?

Sorry, mate, but you are incorrect.  You are still downloading your content to your local machine.

  • I just saw, where I'll be able to install for working offline. I just hope I can control where the stuff gets installed. Right now, I'm still waiting on Install Manager trying to pick up the updates, so I can't do jack.
