User Data Export Problem

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue with 4.8.

I go into the database maintenance section, check the "Export User Data" box, click OK.

I get a window from Studio that says "Gathering user data ...." It sits there for a while, not asking for any interaction, not doing anything else, and then it closes and the DB Maintenance window also closes.

And then I look in the Runtime\Support directory ... and there's nothing. There's no new UserData file.

Is there somewhere else I should be looking? That's where the UserData files generated from earlier versions of Studio 4 are. (Although I haven't exported user data in over a year.) Is there something I can do to force Studio to export User Data?

Any information will be much appreciated.

EDIT: Thought to check the log file, somewhat late. And the information therein was wonderfully unhelpful.

WARNING: dzpostgresqlobjectdatabase.cpp(39): DB Select error: ERROR: canceling statement due to statement timeout
DB Select error: ERROR:  canceling statement due to statement timeout

Um ... OK. Why would it be timing out on a simple export?

And on the odd shot that I can't export it, do I just back up the entire Support directory? I mean, apart from the number of files, it's not a big deal -- they're not huge. It's just strange that this one operation fails consistently.

    OK, but in that case, where is the UnExported UserData hiding? If I copy the CMS or Runtime Support directories to somewhere else, will that save my userdata? It has to be somewhere!

    Odd thing is that I've exported User Data in versions before 4.8 without any issue. Those files are in Runtime/Support. (The last time I exported data was May 2014, which I'm guessing is roughly when PostgreSQL was integrated into Studio)

    I rebuild database from an old savegard. Export User Data works again.

    I think there was something wrong somewhere. I recently had a problem with a freebee.

    But there is now a philosophic question : update to 4.9 or not ?

    (may be I will wait a little ...)
