How do I change the drive and/or path to which products are installed using Daz Connect

Hello all. I know it says you can change the drive and/or path to which products are installed using Daz Connect in the FAQ, but I can't figure out how to do it. Basically, I have a relatively small SSD as my C drive and need all content to be loaded on my E drive. Since I moved to DAZ 4.9, I see that the purchases I made using Connect are being installed on the C drive in the My DAZ Connect Library which Studio custom made rather than my content library on E. How do I move this Connect library to E and point Studio to it? Thanks in advance.

There should be entries for the DAZ Connect content directories in the preferences (edit > preferences > Content management I think)
Dude, you are in a pickel. The nature of enycrption is that they don't want you sharing files so moving them around is going to be a problem. I would suggest using the DIM installer instead: I install on a larger drive that is not my main drive myself and I can do this with Daz Install Manager I don't know if this is possible with Connect.
In the content directory manager, it won't let me add a directory, only edit the current one. Again, in the FAQ the writer says that we can change the Connect content's drive, but it gives no instructions and does not point to where such instructions would be.
I was considering just using DIM, Silver Dolphin, but as I'm sure you know there are freebies that are Connect specific. I am not a big fan of the new DRM stuff, having dealt with it for years with music creation software, but I do understand the rationale behind it, and I'm just an amateur with the 3D graphic stuff (though I spend a lot of money here at DAZ) so some of the end-user risks are less impactful on me than others in the forum. That said, given that I do spend so much money here, I hope the DAZ folks realize the frustration simple things like my problem here are causing. I'm willing to use Connect, but not if I can't choose where the directory is-- my C drive simply is not an option because of my space issues!
Thanks to you both for trying to help!
the daz connect only files wont download and install through dim nor manually its a pita to say the least .i will pay close attention to what i buy in the future better believe me i am p*****************ed off big time -sorry if this sounds rude, but i spend my money to have fun and not to be forced into a corner like a rat and having troubles all over and folders that i dont want and all that crap.this is not a good idea guys i bet clients will run away.
finished for me spending money i tell ya.
I totally understand your anger. I've had issues with my music production computers because of DRM for years (PACE-- argh!!). It drives me crazy that the honest people who are happy to pay for stuff are the ones who get crapped on, and I agree that the road DAZ has chosen is a dangerous one. I love the models here, and I am awed by the talent of the developers, and I also understand how frustrating piracy can be. That being said, if people like us are driven away, that can't be good for business. Right now I'm definitely bummed about the new version.

Well, that seems to have solved it. Thank you!!
the thing is i have my runtime structured by character for example m4/clotles or m4/mat or m4 props that vway i alweays find what is for this specific character (thats my old runtime if i may so since 2008) no flaws whatsoever.
now with daz 4 its of course the daz 4 library wch is ok for me the way it installed it before each figure in its own folder with subfolders.
but now with daz connect i have to entirely map another folder and go and find my stuff there its rather confusing why can i not place for example the stuff in the subfolders i want : for example genesis 3 goes into genesis 3 props go into props environment goes into environment and so on.
for me its imperative that i can see my content in a good overview.the thing is my runtime is so overhuge my wife and me we have almost a terrabyte of content and you know scrolling around is already hard enough as it is right now.if there would be a way i can move the connect content to the respective folders i want lte say i make a folder "daz connect"..bla...bla in my library for installing and then i move the stuff out of that folder into the one i want then it would be ok.i can also understand the measures to be taken against piracy sad that there are lots of "fraudulous"individuals on the planet but hey thats the way it is.
by the way chohole i would like to thank you for all the free stuff/textures etc i aquired over the years from you very generous merci beaucoup!!!
There are a couple of ways of doing this. My preferred method is to use Categories -- I have my own category structure outside of th Default categories arranged in the way that makes sense to me (which is the way I had them arranged back when I used to rearrange folders and files on disk -- I just took the top-level of my sorted content folders and created categories from them automatically).
Another way is to open Smart Content on the left and Content Library on the right. In Content Library, open up the content folder for your desired item, e.g. M4/Clothing/Valiant, then drag the files from Smart Content into that folder. This creates links to those items which you can rearrange like any other files.
You can change the file location for DAZ Connect products... but they still don't show up in the Content Library...
I changed the installation path to be the same as everything else installed in my Content Library, the same used by the DAZ Installed Manager.DAZ Connect installs it there, but the product does not appear in the Content Library... Probably because DAZ Connect uses a separate folder called /cloud to install everything.
So what to do... I create links for the product as described by Fixmypcmike above... and I have to create subfolders for materials, morphs and everything... and create links to every single file! And finally... my Content Library is up to date with the new product!
Do I have to do this with every DAZ Connect product I buy in the future??? If so, I rather buy somewhere else...
Congratulations DAZ... you broke your Content Library with DAZ Connect!
So it's just impossible? That's sorta a relief... Now I don't have to feel like an idiot by attempting it and inevitably failing horribly at it at least
