Missing Menu Item: Scripts

I am missing the menu item: Scripts.

I just installed Color Picker from Draagonstorm, and am looking for Scripts in the menu, but it is not there.

I opened up Customize and opened Menus - but I'm not seeing "Scripts" as an option to add.  Am I missing something?

I am still running D/S 4.8 at the moment.

Pic 1 is my menu structure, Pic 2 is from Draagonstorm's Color Picker video.

  • You need to Create Custom Action. To do this find the script in your Content Library. By default it would install in your My Library\Scripts\Color Picker. Right mouse click on DSColorPicker and select Create Custom Action.

Here's the documentation from Daz: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzone/pub/software/dazstudio/reference/customaction

    Thanks, DraagonStorm!

The link gave me a "website is offline" error.  However, I got the script enabled by your instructions, thank you.

I have a special screen capture software, so I think I'm going to title a thread with the fix for that.

[EDIT] The software is SnagIt, which has an auto-capture feature connected to the PrtScrn button.  I figured out a work-around, and here is that thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/70104/using-draagonstorm-s-color-picker-with-snagit#latest

Thanks so much for the script!  I can't tell you how many times I have played with a color change on clothing and WISHED I had a way to pick a color.

  • Does this work with Iray? say just the base color, this looks great for testing different color set !!!

I'll have to defer to DraagonStorm, because I don't use Iray.

  • None I got it and tried it, so far it works with the Base color in Iray but that's all, but it's all I need for what I want.

    Thanks anyway !
