Clothing Conversion to G3F

I bought my first V7 during this sale and have been trying to autofit clothing to her. I'm having big problems with pants and shorts which distort when the thigh is moved. I then bought the Wear Them All and SY Ultra Templates so that I could try Genesis as well as G2F but have the same problem after installing those tools. I don't get the same problem with pants made for G3F so it is a conversion issue. Any suggestions (please see attachment).

    I would try the following:

Let the panties convert to G3F in the default T pose (there should be no distortions hopefully), then export them as .obj, import them again and run the transfer utility.

Thanks. I'll need to find a tutorial on the Transfer utility - I think I've tried it before but can't remember how right now. May I ask if you have seen this problem before?

Yes I have, with panties for G2F that I tried to apply to G3F, I think it is pretty common, the crotch area is quite problematic.

The transfer utility thing is really easy, just export the panties after you conformed them to G3F as .obj, delete them, import the .obj you just exported, open transfer utility, choose G3F as the source and the .obj mesh as the target, as a projection template, choose either "none" or "Full Body", you can apply the smoothing if you want and then run it and see if you can get better results.

Thanks again. Will that lose any custom morphs I had in the original? Any other settings I need to be aware of? I'm looking for tutorials and found a Sickleyield one here:

... but I'm not sure that is what I need to be looking at. For example, I don't understand these settings and whether they are important ...

Under General Options below, click Weight Maps, and on the right click MERGE HIERARCHIES.  This is what does the magic.

Check Reverse Source Shape from Target as well.

Oh, I have not looked into this problematic yet so I can't offer much insight there as I never tried "keeping the bones" technique, I am talking about importing a non-rigged mesh with no bones and just running the transfer utility thus there are no bones that woud need keeping : )

OK, understood - thanks. I'll give it a try later when I get a few minutes.
