What happened to "Open Recent" option in the files menu?

I had to do a factory restore for my OS recently and when I re-installed Studio, the "open recent" option is missing from the File menu drop down. This option isn't missing from all the other apps I routinely use. They all have the "open recent" option from the File drop down. I've scoured preferences looking for a way to enable this in Studio but can find none. Was this removed in a recent update? I've been at this for about 15 years and my files list is really long so the recent option is very useful.
I'm on a Mac using Sonoma.

Did you update as well? Open recent was removed from 4.22 and hidden away under the new menu. I think there is a way to bring it back but I am not 100% sure since I am still on 4.21.
Yeah. It's the most recent version. I've looked everywhere I can think of to re-enable it. And, why on earth would this be removed?
I really don't know why they would have disabled it but they had a reason (however weird to me) I am sure. For now, go to new and you should be able to open recent, however unintuitive.

Thanks. That got it back. Very useful. Appreciated.
