EXR file sequence look black and white

Hey everyone,

I have posted a similar question on reddit, but I am more confused than ever

Basically I need a step by step YT video

I am brand new to Davinci Resolve 19. I am used to importing exr sequences into Adobe AE, where I can apply an exposure filter, change the amount to -12, which makes the images look like the accompanying tif files that were rendered via Daz3d canvases.

When I try to change the exposure via Color> Global, I can only change the exposure to -6, which only changes the images to black and grey.

I have watched some YT videos that show the images perfectly after import without having to change the exposure at all.

Do I need some kind of EXR plugin? I have tried to right click on a sequence - Lut> VX10> Linear to Gamma 2.2 and many similar steps - adding nodes, but no matter what I do, the images are still black and white with just a slight change

Thanks in advance

EDIT:

This is what it looks like
Import and adding VX10

In another forum, they asked me "what is the color space and gamma of DAZ3D" when rendering exr files?
