Lifting characters

Does anyone know how to make lifting a character work? The location slider doesn't work, and keeps the character at that height throughout the whole scene.

Thanks.

I am not really sure what you mean here?

By 'lifting' the character, if you mean raising on the Y axis, the relevant slider should work for that in the Parameters tab?

I mean a scene with 2 characters, one lifting the other. The slider affects the whole scene and not just the frame I'm working in.

You need to set a keyframe for the start position, then go on and set the lifted position. If you don't the lifted position is the only keyed value, so it applies across the whole range.

Moving between the keyframe's has no effect on the ytranslate setting. The other animations work, just the x,y, and z translate don't move as the scene plays

Can you post an image of what you mean?

If you set one keyframe, then set another one a few frames on, there should be an interpolation between them?
