Can't sort categories

Hi.

As shown in the attachment, I've created some user categories for my shaders. Problem is that I can't sort the LEFT pane where the category names appear. (As you can see "Hair" is near the bottom of the list after "Wood".)

There's a control (shown) near the top of the pane that looks like it should help, but it's unselectable.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

In case this helps anyone ...

I solved the problem by using the "Content DB Maintenance" command. First I exported my user data then I reset the database. I then reimported the metadata and userdata, and the categories were sorted.

I am experiencing the same issue. Can you give a breakdown of the steps you did. 

I'm new to this and I don't want to mess anything up in DAZ Studio. 

I see the Export User Data, Reset Database, and Re-Import Metadata commands in the Content DB Maintenance.

Is that all that I do in that exact same order?

Howdy.

Step 1: Select the "Content DB Maintenance..." command from the Content Library's flyout menu.

Step 2: Select both the "Export User Data" and "Reset Database" checkboxes then press Accept. Wait for this operation to complete.

Step 3: Select the "Content DB Maintenance..." command again. This time select the "Re-Import Metadata..." checkbox. Press Accept.

Step 4: All the checkboxes in the main window should be checked. Clear the "Group as 'New'" and "Group Contents as 'New'" checkboxes at the bottom. Press Accept. Wait a few minutes for this operation to complete.

Congratulations. You are the owner of a shiny new database. Everything in the Smart Content pane should be as expected.
