why is my LIE always so sluggish?

What do I mean by this? for example say I want to add a layer image to an Iray item of clothing in LIE I will find that moving the image onto the correct spot on the clothing in the LIE takes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages to drag across. It seems to have always been this way for me too when using it. Has anyone else had this issue? is it correctable? what can I do please to stop it being so sluggish or at least reduce the slowness.

    I'm not sure if this will help, but if you go to Edit>Preferences and then select the Interface tab, at the bottom is a slider for the LIE Compession. Move it to the right for Speed if you haven't already.
