Hai everyone...
I am a total noob when it comez to technical stuff and I have a problemz I hope someone can help me with please. My DIM and Library are all set up as default on my C Drive, which is only a 250 gb SSD and is running out of space.
I have about 130gb of files downloaded and installed.
My question is -Is it possible to move these files to my F drive which has pleanty of space? Also is it possible to have DIM install to F drive and Daz read the files from there going forward?
If so...is there anyone who can explain it to me in a simple way?
Really appreciatez anyones help here
Thankz
Dee

In short - Yes; you can install on F Drive.
You can also set the install path inside DIM from default to a custom install path F.
I have DAZ Studio and my content on Drive D; so it is no problem.
The only problem I see now is that DAZ Studio install a Connect Library to Drive D (wich is also a small SSD) and I have no idea if I can move this, too to another Drive.
To change the install path in DIM you have to open DIM, click at the symbol at the top right corner to open settings and go to the istallation Tab, their you can change the installation path.
Don`t forget to change the path of your installed content inside DAZ Studio, too or DAZ Studio won`t find the content.
Also you have to notice, that some content need to be installed anew because it can`t be moved. In my experience the best way is to uninstall the current installation and install everything. completley new on the other Drive.
The daz connect library can be moved like any other. It has a separate entry in the content directory manager that must be changed to the new location. FWIW, studio doesn't need to have any files on the c drive to run.
Thank you; meanwhile I found out that content directory manager has a new entry for this. I didn`t recognize it because I thought the connect library use the same path that DIM use.
No problem...
They can use the same path, but the two programs do not talk to each other — D|S and DIM have different default locations, you must check (before starting to download any content) that the settings in both programs both point to the same folder.
