Viewport VS Aux Viewport

What is the difference between [Viewport and Aux Viewport] the two and if I have both active, where will it render from?

    The main Viewport can be split (Window>Viewports). The Aux Viewport was originally introduced to support 3Delight's IPR, a quicker preview render that performed much the same job as the Iray Drawstyle for Iray - it was better to have that in a smaller window than the main View might be.

    The active viewport will have a highlight colour border, and will be the last one interacted with - that is the one which will render.
