Skull Island

I had purchased the Skull Island pirate ship "Smirking Mermaid" as a standalone item. I really wanted the whole package,  but the $60 was too pricey. I used the ship in a graphic novel that I am working on. One of the features of the ship are three sliders located in the parameters menu. It allows you to raise and lower the sails (idle off and on).

Just recently the Skull Island package went on sale for half price. So I purchased it. Ever since I installed it, the sliders on the ship do not work. They are there in the parameters menu, but they do not work.... nothing happens. Even scenes with the ship that I saved before purchasing the package, the slider no longer works with them.

I tried rre-downloading and re-installing the standalone ship.... did not help.

I am still using DAZ 3 because the newer versions are not backward compatible with my characters and saved scenes.

  • Did both the stand alone version and the new one from the bundle get installed to the same content directory? Is this a Poser format or a Daz Studio format item?

Yes, both were installed into the same content directory.  I installed both formats.

  • I assume, in DS3, that you are using the Poser version since I think the DS fils are in .duf format. Looking at the readme the morphs should just be in the PP2 file so I can't see why they would suddenly fail. Unfortunately I don't have the products to test them and I can't think of any obvious issues - it may be worth uninstalling the set and then installing only the Poser versions as a test.

    Thanks, I will try that.

I just loaded the full duf scene and the posing morph slider works on the Smirking Mermaid perfectly well using the duf preset

but you only have one slider

so I tried the Poser one in DS3

    it has 3 sliders

and found the next two two sliders work but not extrude sails

I have work so cannot investigate further but the idle one changes the sails too from furled to unfurled so maybe you used that one

Yes. Mine does show three sliders.... none of them work... With the Smirking Mermaid standalone (before I installed the package) the two sliders did work I did not notice any changes with the extrude slider.
