Hole in middle of geometry

There seems to be a whole in the middle of a model I'm using.

It's in the mirror "bone" of the figure (pic 4)

If I set opacity of every surface in the mirror to 0, it's still there. (pic 5)

I don't see any problems in the geometry tool (pic 3)

Lights I use don't seem to have an affect.

I've been fighting this for hours... anyone have thoughts?

Well it seems to have somehting to do with the Glossiness of the mirror surface...but if I change that, it messes with the looks of the reflection...so still looking for buttons to press to fix this..

Ok, definitly the glossy field...this is glossy at 95 instead of 100%...the smaller the glossy, the bigger the spot..and I have n idea how to fix this :(

EDIT:  And it was specular that was the issue... I was sure I tried changing it hours ago, but whtevs...on to the next challenge:/
