just add the folder containing the Poser Runtime folder in DS Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager under Poser formats.
Where exactly are you looking? Not left side or right side of the screen, the name of the tab. There are two tabs that let you see your content; Smart Content is actually a view of a database of links to your content, Content Library gives a direct view of the DAZ|Studio and Poser content files. For Poser stuff you should use Content Library.
And there's no need to export or save from Poser, D|S loads Poser files directly. All you need to do is link the Content Directory Manager to your Runtime folder, as Mike mentioned.
ok thanks i'll try that
i tried that but still nothing, i now get poser libraries comming up in the content tab on the righthand side but only as icons, no data. but i have found a way by exporting to daz 3 then exporting to daz4.8. iv'e tried 4.9 but have gone back to 4.8
If you mean you can't open the library folders to see what's inside, that might mean you don't have the Content Directory Manager set up properly. Can you post a screenshot of the CDM dialogue with the DAZ|Studio and Poser Formats sections opened? One common hiccup is to set up the content folder location with one too many or one too few folder levels. The folder path must stop at the folder containing the Runtime folder.
