I am also not seeing Pose Converter and Shape Transfer in my Edit-Figure menu. No matter what I do, they don't show up.

So I have to install those plugins in order to get *all* new features to work?

So, your Premier subscription has been verified and activated online, then you still couldn't see them from the menus ? Can you see Premier logo on DS splash screen when it's launched ?

Can you find the plugins are enabled in About Installed Plugins... dialogue, with green plugs ? (screenshot 1)

And press F3 in DS, can you see the plugins in the action list ? (screenshot 2)

F3 only brings up a volume control in mine. I don't get anything about custominzing. Is there another way to get that screen?

Yes, I do have Premier in my splash page and I got the other plugins. The only two that don't show up are the Pose Converter and Shape Transfer. I saw that some other people were having the same issue. When I installed them, I never got the prompt to restart DAZ Studio. I tried the D3 key, but that did nothing but bring up a volume control for my computer, not the Customize screen. I had even tried uninstalling the Pose and Shape plugins and reinstalling them, but nothing worked. All the other plugins seem to be where they're supposed to be. Is there another way to get the Customize screen besides F3?

That's a good news. Then just as usual when you customize your DS menu items,  simply drag them to the menu items under Figure (screenshot 1)

Then save the Layout via Window > Workspace > Save Layout As...

Okay, I found the lists, but when I try to drag ithe items it hey won't dragover to the other column. Do I need to click something else first? I've never customized these lists before. I've been using DAZ Studio for over 20 years and I've never had a reason to do this until now. What am I doing wrong? This is a learning experience. LOL

If Window>Workspace>Update and Merge Menus doesn't help then you need to expand those groups and drag the individual commands, you can't drag the containers to add a whole group as a new sub-menu.

Richard, this sort of worked, but they ended up in differnet places. Please see the attached screen shot. The things I transferred over are now at the top of the Edit-Figure list. They're not in their own headings. They're just floating out loose. The ones my sister got when she installed them went to the bottom of the Figure list. Will these still work?

A lot of those enttries come from plug-ins and as aI understand it that menu is dynamically generated, like some others (e.g. Tools). You could try reloading your layout, if it doesn't have a lot of unsaved customisations, and see if that bounces it into showing the entries as and where it should.

Richard, it didn't work, but I wonder what would happen if I uninstall those plugins and then reinstall them. Would lthat make a difference?

Well, I thought Customizing Layout should be a very fundamental skill, LOL ~~ So, in detail:

    - Right-Click to Add a Submenu (screenshot 1 ~ 2)

    - Drag the Action under the Root function from left to the Submenu... (screenshot 3)

Yes, you can also try Update and Merge Menus... I personally don't use that function but never lost any new Actions or menu items ~~ I ever tried once or twice, it always messed up my DS Layout...

  • Hey Richard, I have a question

I noticed in the Daz Studio Premiere page (first time noticing today) that it mentions:

    • Rig Conversion System
    • Convert Daz rigs for Unreal Engine, MetaHuman, or Mixamo with a click. Export your characters directly into Unreal projects or experiment with animations in Mixamo

Is there some documentation on what this does?  I tried looking in the wiki, but couldn't find anything.

    Thanks for the help

Sorry, I don't know anything about this area

  • Hmmm. There's a lot of us that haven't managed to get the CMS to work for the better part of a decade... At least I havent. I guess I'm going to have to finally figure it out or I'll never get my premiere features working

    Hi all,

I could install the Premier plugins, but aren't able activating it: When selecting a plugin in the plugin list, I see the message "This plugin must be registered to be enabled." But I cannot find a way registering it.

Whenever I start DAZ studio, I get a message that for the plugins to be activated, the application needed to be restarted before the plugins are activated. After a restart the same message pops up again and again and the plugins aren't activated.

What could I do here? Thanks!

Did you log in from DS to activate the plugins?

So, if I don't intend to go Premier, I don't need to install these. Is that correct?

Yes, no point in installing them unless you are Premier.

Thanks for asking. Yes I did, in fact, I logged out and in again... To no avail. Not really sure what to do here. I'm using pi-hole, that might be a reason. Nobody else is having this problem?

I'm sorry but I do not follow. this thread is about five plug-ins thata re available to Premier members while their memberships last. No featuers have been removed from the base application, and of you have any original versions of the four plug-ins that have been converted and integrated or a previous version of Mesh Grabber then those too work as before.

So, installed the new plug-ins (with Premier in the name) through DIM, logged in to your Premier account through Daz Studio, restarted Daz Studio?

Exactly Richard, that's what I did, thanks.

Update: After running "Content DB Maintenance"->"Re-Import Metadata" and "Process Metadata Queue", closing DAZ Studio and reopening it, the warnings are gone :)
