    load Genesis9 Base Anime Feminine
    delete Genesis9 toon outline

Export .blend with Rig conversion unreal mannequine rig and Generate FBX file

After completing export, Genesis 9 Base's eye broken

If you expand the node Genesis 9 Toon Floating Iris, you'll find the bones under head are all removed, so the rigging of Iris is lost... The exported result in .blend file is also wrong.

It seems a bug~~ you better fill a ticket.

    OK :-)

    OK

    Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered before but there's like 30 pages in this thread! I'm having troube viewing Toon figures--they come out al black like a silhouette. The answer seems to be to change the viewport to Filatoon but I don't seem to have that option. I've just--like ten minutes ago--upgraded to Daz 4.23.0.1, and it still isn't there! (also the menu bar seems really tiny for some reason?). Is this a Mac issue?

ETA: Did some more Googling and of COURSE it's a Mac issue. Sigh. It's not like Mac is a popular choice in the creative industries or anything...

  • Try changing the Environment Weight on all of the materials to something greater than zero. Usually works for me.

Unfortunately, Filament drawstyle doesn't support Mac ... by now.

Yes, it is a Mac issue. Daz Studio doesn't support Filament draw style on a Mac. That is why you don't see it in the drop down list.

Do you know if FilaToon materials are included with https://www.daz3d.com/astaroth-9-toon

or one need some other add-on?

On the web page is stated: Daz Studio Iray Material Presets (.DUF) .

I would think that was a typo.

I thought the same thing. I reckon it was a missed opportunition, not having a "sawn off horns" option.

  • I have a question about g9 anime eye shadow - intensity 1.duf. Which parameter of which node does this duf change: Genesis 9 toon eye socket, Genesis 9 toon floating iris, parameter or surface?
I searched for a day and could not find it.

What product is it from? Knowing what product it came with would help identify what it's supposed to change. Although, given the name of the preset being "eye shadow", it sounds like it probably needs to be applied to the character. The fact that it says "intensity" probably means eyeshadow needs to be applied first and then the "intensity" settings would likely adjust the brightness or darkness of the eyeshadow. That would be my guess anyway. :)

It changes the value in Cutout Opacity slot on the surface of Genesis 9 Toon Shadow Plane, from 1.0 to 0.5. Or if you open this DUF file with Notepad++, you can easily find it.

  • Thank you 3Diva.
It was included in Genesis 9 Starter Essential.

    Thanks Crosswind
I unzipped the duf file with 7zip and was able to open it with a text editor!
I have to learn about Genesis 9 Toon Shadow Plane!

I tried a few presets and didn't really see a difference. What exactly is it supposed to change?

  • crosswindcrosswind Posts: 7,812

It changes the shadow strength under the upper eyelids of G9 base toon figure.

Thanks, I'll look more carefully next time in a closeup.
