    Hello everyone

I tried to install a character purchased on RenderHub and I managed to get the body and the mesh skin and everything else tells me that there is an error and that I need to look at the log for more detail! Except I'm not the log either

for the installation of the files I unzipped the inside of the content folder of the Marcus renderhub zip in (A:\Daz 3D Folder\myLibray\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Female\Characters \Marcius)

I am attaching some PJs to you

I'm really bothered plus it's a character that I'm going to use for an animation project for my exam

    Thank you for your help

Will this YT video help with installing content purchased elsewhere?

    https://youtu.be/xNgcZDlFyJw

Yes I see this video i doing exactely same but is do not working !!! I really think is my installation the probleme ! as you see on my precedent message with my folder location !!

You have 3 folders, but it is unclear what the purpose of those folders are:

    dossierDaz_source: ?

    Installmanager_source: ?

    myLibrary: your content library.

What lilweep said was that you can have more content libraries, e.g. one for Daz content, and one or more for content from other shops.

I absolutely want daz to be installed in another disk dedicated to it with the install manager and the library, but does the install manager have to be installed in the daz folder? I'm going to try that this weekend ...

This is now a completely different topic than the original issue. Im going to assume the original issue is solved.

Your question now is about relocating/rearraning your Daz installation files on your harddrive? You can probably set the DIM install locations in Daz Install Manager.  But  I have no idea what is in those folders and whether you have set them up correctly and therefore it would be difficult for anyone to advise you on how to maintain all relationships.

I dont think you can just move everything around and expect it to automatically work.

So Daz_source and Installmanager_source is irrelevant from a content perspective.

But you asked if you could have seperate libraries, and told, that that can you, so you could have a content library (or more) for 3rd party content. Have you dropped that idea?

no the problem is not solved since apparently it comes from the way so I did my installation it's not normal that I do like in the explanatory video and that for me it's nothing !

not at all, but I have to understand if my initial installation does not cause problems with my current problem that I cannot see my renderhub characters even though I do exactly as in the explanatory video! I wonder if it doesn't come from my initial installation

So the only issue is you cant install your Renderhub content but everything else is working fine for you? But even though everything else with Daz Studio is working fine, you for some reason believe there is an issue with your main daz installation?

I  think if there was an issue with your daz installation you would know because it wouldnt work.

Logic dictates that if the only issue is with the Renderhub content, then the issue is with how you are installing the renderhub content, not your main daz installation.

    Sorry for dont answer ,

To tell the truth I don't know that's why I attached my files to you so you can see how I installed it, I nevertheless followed the tutorial to the letter to install the character but nothing worked! I'm learning to use daz as you could see, you told me to first put the body of the female Genesis eight before but there name plus it doesn't work! I can't find a solution to my problem, so I have a question: should the install manager be installed in the root folder of Daz or not?

Install manager installation is independant of Daz Studio installation. It just need to point to the same content library as is defined in Das Studio.

It is still not clear to me if you are trying to install 3rd party content to the same content library as Daz products, or you wanted to use a different content library.

That much i understand. As i mentioned, that problem suggests there may have been a problem with how you installed your renderhub product.

I can't find a solution to my problem, so I have a question: should the install manager be installed in the root folder of Daz or not?

The solution to your original problem (installing a renderhub zip) may be to do the following.

    1. Create a new library on your harddrive

    1. Find a place on your harddrive.
    2. right click and create a new folder
    3. Call it "Renderhub" or something

    2. Put the renderhub contents into your new folder

    1. Extract the contents or just drag/drop them into the file location

    3. Add the new library to Daz Studio

    1. In Daz Studio, right click on 'Daz Studio Formats'
    2. Add new base directory
    3. Navigate to your new library, and select folder

    4. Now you can see your new library

If you are still experiencing issues, can you actually say what the issue is? Can you post screenshot of the error message you receive? Can you actually show what you did to produce the error?
