Pushing Hair with a Figures Hand?

Is it possible to push hair with a characters hand. For example long hair in front and down the side of the characters face pushed by the character's hand back over its shoulder? Maybe I searched wrong, but haven't been able to find anything.

The commonkt-used way is to simulate with Timeline, for instance, with 30 frames. Give the hand an initial pose at frame 0, then move the hand to "push" the hair to the proper position at, let's say, frame 25. Then simulate. However, depending on the hair you're using, you may still need to fix the hair shape after simulation to make it look natural and perfect.

There're also alternative ways, like using dForce Magnet, sculpting the hair as per the final pose in external software, yada yada...

Thanks. To be clear, I want it to animate too so I have an animation of pushing the hand through the hair, flair flipping back, etc. I have tried simulating over 150 frames so the hair falls around the head and then have the hand "push" through it but the hair doesn't seem to react to the hand and the hand just goes right through it.

Oh wait. I think I just animated and didn't "simulate" and then animate. I am getting more interaction that way.
