    POST 100,000!

    (or possibly, forums go Kaboom)

A few of Richard's closest friends joined him in celebration of his 100,000th Daz Forum post. As barbult lowered the Forum King crown onto Richard's head, Jack gave him a solemn pawshake. Lola leaned in to kiss Richard on the cheek. Rob arrived dripping wet, still in his swimming trunks, with a (very) fresh catch for the celebratory dinner. A good time was had by all!

How is it that Richard looks UP at Jack yet still seems mildly condescending?

..congratulations on breaking the 100,000 post barrier.

Next stop 1,000,000.  (should only take a couple years).

    Halcon Bluesky said:

If he reach the 100 Thousand  mark, he should be inducted in the Guiness Records Book Hall of Fame, at the moment he is shy of 4 more posts.

What he would like to drink to celebrate that?

Whisky, Corona Beer or Pepsi Max? I may ask? devil

..I'd say a good single Malt Scot's Whiskey, or at the very least, a full imperial pint or two of Guiness.

    Well, he is the king...

But actually, this 3D cat model doesn't have much available for expressions. I kind of get what I get. Sometime I can finagle something that comes out cute, and other times it looks pretty strange. Jack and Richard are best pals, but sometimes they do get each other into trouble or try to one-up each other.

Thank you, Richard, for all your work and patience! Thanks, barbult, for the hilarious post.

yes There will be a few more renders coming. I seldom let an opportunity to render Richard pass me by. Give it a try. He is an excellent muse.

Whenever I say I'll render Richard he usually replies with Uhuh!

Richard, I made a comment on the PA discord about how we'd all be in trouble if you ever retired. And was met with people talking about how important you've been to all of us and how invaluable your help has been over the years. Thank you, Richard! You're amazing!

@barbult The renders are funny! Nicely done! And thank you for bringing this milestone to our attention. I hope the Daz higher-ups see it and they reward Richard for all his amazing hard work!

Congrats Richard & thanks for all your help on missing files and aggro people !

  • To put 100,000 posts into a sort of perspective: I used to be a mod on a very active fountain pen forum, and felt pretty burnt out after 7 years and what felt like a HUGE quantity of posts - achieving all of 10,700. Have to admire your stickability, even temper and consistency. It is very hard not to allow personal feelings to intrude into mod activities (especially if being actively and personally targetted by those you are having to moderate as it has occasionally appeared to be the case), and you suceed in that to a huge extent.

    Many thanks,

    Richard

    Congratulations Richard!

Or should it be condolences? Putting up with everything and everyone I'm sure can be difficult at times. But somehow you are able to do it while keeping very steady and patient (or at least it seems like you never lose your cool).

    Thanks for everything you do!!!!!!!!

Richard: Oh, dear, this is all too much! Clowns, confetti, the admiration of the cheering crowd, the sedan chair, police on horseback... Wow, I'm really famous now!

You have no idea how hard it was not to chase those bits of confetti (or snippets of ticker-tape?)

Well Richard, I must say, it's been fun butting heads with you, given the odd number of times I disagreed with you removing a post or many. You really do need to make another 2 posts though, to get you to 100k posts.

I think someone should post a naked render lol

I think Richard is naked in every render I post of him. I never thought about that. I bet he didn't either, because he didn't delete them. I guess naked cats are TOS exceptions, written or unwritten. Or maybe full body fur counts as "clothes".

I wanted to call it a ticker tape parade, but my husband said "that's not ticker tape". So I was shamed into calling it confetti instead. I'm glad you see ticker tape there, just like I did.  Also, good for you for restraining yourself to, maintain the proper decorum of such an occasion.

Oh, good, it is officially TOS-safe to render Richard in his fur coat.
