Gone Back to version 4.8 of Studio because...

... there are options missing when I click on , for example , create any new lights or Cameras. The buttons to put a tick in are there, but you can not actually tick them, so when I needed to create a Geometrie shall it needed to be parentet, but I was not able to do it.

I wonder if anyone else has the problem.

I uninstalled 4.9 for now, hence no screenshot. oops.

  • it would be helpful if you would reinstall for long enough to take some screenshots and make a bug report, though I've not heard of anytone seeing this kind of issue.

It does sound like it could be related to the 'interface is all messed up because Studio was open during install' problem, though.

  • For me the Show Options/Hide Options button works, and I can change which radio button iss et, when creating a Geometry Shell for G3F.

    Hi mjc1026,

    I had uninstalled version 4.8 before I installed 4.9.

    Hi Richard,

I shall re install 4.9 and make a screenshot and report a bug report if the issue is still there.

Here is one screenshot of creating a light * that happend to ANY light I want to create, to every camera I want to create * and to any Geometrie Shell I try to create.

I can not use those radio buttons, and as you can see, there is no writing either besides those radio buttons that I can not use.

How do I file a bug report, I never done that.

    Two things...

    1. The text color for 'inactive' text is nearly the same color as the background of the dialog box...did you create a custom color scheme (for 4.8, because that will carry over)?  I can almost make out the 'copy' text for both those inactive ones.   You can try changing the color scheme/layout.

    2.  The two 'inactive' radio buttons are 'copy' settings ones.  You have nothing selected, so there is nothing to copy the settings from so they are not active or able to be used.

You are right, I can also use those radio buttons once I have a light in the scene.

    Feeling really stupid now.

Is there a way I can make the writing so that I can see it.

I do not know how to change colours and I love the overall colour theme that I am using.

Thank you Richard, I found it, but once I have a light or a camera in the scene and add /create a new one, the radio buttons become active and I can read the writing.

It was such a simple thing that I just did not know.

4.9 is back on my PC now.

Thank you SO much for helping us when we need help.
