Grey entries in Product view?

I'm getting confused. I've started trying to use the product view since categorization stopped working. I get a list of coloured entries followed by a list of grey ones. If I let the mouse rest on the grey ones it says "double click to install." But it is doing this for things that I have installed! And I don't think it's do do with the install method. I normally install stuff manually, I only use DIM for plugins and Daz Connect only for stuff  I can't do any other way. But some manually installed stuff is showing as installed and some isn't. I'm working offline so it can't be checking for updates. Is there any logic to all this?

The grey ones are those products that you can install using Connect. However, this may often be products you have already installed by other methods (DIM or manually). Connect is not "aware" of this as it installs things in a different content library of its own. I believe that if you do double click to install products you've installed by other methods it will install them again separately, so that you have two versions of the product. I am simply ignoring the "grey" products that I've already installed by DIM as I don't see any advantage in having them Connect installed over being DIM or manually installed, at least not when they are working perfectly well with Smart Content as they are.

Note that Connect installed products do not appear in your content library folder structure (although they appear in content library "Products").
