Animation keeps resetting/ overwriting my morphs

Hey there!

I‘m pretty new to Daz3D and I’m working on my first animation, now, after successfully creating and 2D rendering a few scenes. I bought an animation file that pretty much resembles what I need. There are two Genesis 9 figures in it. If I load the animation file after altering the figures with morphs, those morphs are overwritten (probably normal, I suppose).

But if I use those same morphs (which I know, work) on the figures after loading the animation, I can see them being applied for a second before the figure gets restored to what it looked like after loading the animation file (one looks somewhat male, the other one somewhat female; it's not the default Genesis 9 figure).

ChatGPT said that that’s a common issue (although I can’t find anything on this problem or how to solve it, anywhere - idk this could be a problem with how Google has been operating lately; I get a lot of unrelated content on how to manually overwrite morphs, so the answer could be out there, but Google is refusing to show me). Anyways, ChatGPT suggested to look for morphs that are being applied after I apply my own morphs in the parameters tab, or to lock the morphs that I want to use. I couldn’t find any morphs in the parameters tab that I‘m not familiar with, and locking the ones I’m trying to use doesn’t work, either.

I’m pretty lost at this point. Has anyone had that issue and found a solution?

Thank you!!
