Daz Connect and characters purchased elsewhere?

If I use the connect feature for downloading (this is just an example) Genesis 3 males including M7 and purchase a character for M7 from another site. How and where would I have to install the character package purchased from the other site? Wouldn't it need to be in the same folder as the downloaded content in order for the morphs to work? 

Sorry to ask but I've looked everywhere and I couldn't find the answer.

I have machine with 4.9. I've installed items with through the Daz Connect but then I stopped installing because I have tons of purchased content that are add-ons, characters with sculpted morphs and such.

    No, figures since Genesis don't need all the morphs intalled in the same place.  This is part of the reason ExP figures like V4 can't be installed with Connect currently.

    Well Holy Cow!!! I didn't know that. For last several years I have been installing all of my Genesis 1, Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 characters into the same 'library' as the base figure is in. Knowing I don't need to do that is sure going to make my life so much easier
