Dforce Freeze

So... Dforce freeze only on the cloth I'm making.
I'm not sure what's wrong with it.
It's a coat, a add dforce dynamic.
I tried to simulate and it freezes while stabilizing in 20-30%

Any hint?

Dforce works on other clothings

  • Freezes as in becomes unresponsive and the progress bar stops advancing? Is the OpenCL device still working?

We don't know how the coat geometry looks like / settings on dynamic surfaces ~~ well, some actions you may try:

    - turn off Self Collide
    - zero Collision Offset or set a -1.0 there
    - turn off Velocity Smoothing or reduce its value if there's any
    - reduce Buckling Stiffness if there's any
    - use dForce Surface Adjuster to tweak settings on dynamic surfaces
    - simulate the dynamic surface one by one

    Yes

    Don't know

After trying some stuffs suggested, not working.
At the end... I just cut certain part of the cloth, it's  the arm curl ups. and the problem is gone.
Don't understand why they cause such problem.

Sometimes dforce also acting weird, if I had many geometries on the cloth, like spikes on certain places. So I have to reduce the number of geometris to eliminate them..

If a dForce object is denser than 'spring length' (collision distance) it can take a long time to resolve.

Or part of the mesh get trapped it will take a long time to resolve.

Now you have solved it - somehow - else you can use timeline for simulation, and then you can see where it stops.
