no render settings in render settings window

Hi,

I'm a beginner. When I open my render settings window there are no presets. I am unable to render my simple animation.

Help please!

    Which renderer are you using?

    There are a lot more options for Iray than there are for 3Delight, but most everything is found under Editor or Advanced, not Presets.  And for at least 3DL, there are no presets.

    thanks for the reply! When I open the render settings window, and go to the preset tab it says: "What do I do? Make a selection from the list on the left. Double-click on a file to apply it to a scene."

    However on the left the left is empty. Nothing to choose from...

    That's basically the same as I'm seeing in the Surfaces presets subtab,.... wonder if theres a Bug ?

    sounds like the semi pane on the far left has been collapsed

    sounds like the same issue as above.look for the dividing bar handle and click on it. It will highlight yellow.

    If being collapsed isn't the case, I thought the same thing when I went to DS 4.9.  I found that all of the presets are lumped under 'All' at the top.  Personally, I hate it.  I haven't done any toying around to figure out how to fix or adjust it but I miss the old way it was organized.  I used it a lot.  Hope this helps. :)
