LDP-R Render script

I'm trying to use Light Dome Pro - R in DS 4.9. Every time I double click on the Render script, it fails. According to the log file, it is unable to find the variable "sceneLights". Help?

Is your render engine set to 3delight or Iray?

Seems to work fine here. Sure you've installed it correctly? I installed with DIM.

  • This works in DS 4.8.  What render script are you trying to run?  You should just be able to load the skydome, select the materials and light's you want and then hit the render icon (camera on the top tool bar).  I'm not running 4.9 so I don't know if there is an incompatibility issure or not as I'm still on 4.8.  Screenshots of what loads into your scene would help to see if all of the lights load or not.

  • Have you tried just clicking on the camera icon to render a scene instead of the script?  I just responded to your other post in nuts n bolts.  I'm still running 4.8 and it runs fine there.  Since it is mostly just lights and skydomes, it should run under 4.9 as well.

Duplicate threads merged, to keep all the assistance in one place and thus save duplication of effort.

  • (Thanks, Chohole.)

Well, I now have it at least going through the motions, and the log file looks happy enough, but all I get out is a single render that is completely black. Further ideas? Thanks for the help so far

BTW, it doesn't my GPU at all, a GeForce 740m.

  • Ok, as expected, pilot error on my part.

First, LDP-R woks with either 3Delight or Iray.

Second, clicking on the camera icon to start the render does ot work correctly for this product; it only fires off a singe render.

Third, the ONLY way to make it work is to explicitly choose "Render LPD-R" from the Render pull down menu on the Menu Bar.

    Sorry for wasting people's time.
