Daz Studio 4.9 Is Unuseable

I'm sorry guys and gals, I know you probably worked very hard on 4.9 but it's a mess. Even re-downloading through Connect it's still finding errors, files missing, etc. Trying to manage things between Install Manager and Connect is a nightmare. Valentina CMS installed with PostgreSQL CMS causes errors and connection issues, making things even worse. And now I can't find 4.8 in Install Manager despite ticking Public build etc. etc.

I think you all will have to rethink and rework 4.9 extensively.

Please note also on Nvidia Optimus laptops there are a lot of UI lags, bugs, etc.

What errors are you getting and what files are missing?

For one, I can't find Daz 4.8 in Install Manager. Any ideas?

I see that there's no reasonable way to downgrade to 4.8. (Getting emailed an .exe or having to have backed it up? Really?)

This 4.9 is a total disaster and very dissapointing.

It's not available anymore.  Only the latest version of DS can be downloaded at a given time,  if you need an older version you will have to contact support and ask them if they can send you an installer.

Only the current version will be available. This has always been the case.

It costs a fortune to support old versions, so many companies simply don't do it.

Did you make a backup, or make a system restore point?

Windows also has a file history feature that can restore old versions of files.

Have you had a look to see if it's in any of those?

Your original assertion was that files were missing in using 4.9. What files are missing in 4.(? What erros are you getting from the CMS engines?
