Need some help with borked Genesis 2 Female base.

I dont know how...or when it happend but a character i dial spun using Genesis 2 female base has gotten mixed up with the base itself. So now when i load Gen 2 base it comes in with my custom shape...the worst part is any character i load that uses the Gen 2 base ie Vicky 6 Norma, Vianne, Tiny dancer, Etc adds to the character shape so i have to zero everything out. How can i restore the Gen 2 female base properly so its the way its supposed to be.

  • That sounds as if you used File>Save as>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets. Reinstalling the non-zero shapes should fix that. Alternatively, you may have created a master ERC controller (with ERC Freeze) and saved that (File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset) with a non-zero default; zeroing its default value (click the gear icon on the slider, Parameter Settings) and resaving should fix the issue.

  • Sorry for being a pain Richard but if i were to reinstall the non-zero shapes what file/files do i need to uninstall in the DIMM to do this. Alternatively if somehow i did the second thing you described i am unsure of which gear icon you are referring to. if i have Gen2 female highlighted in the scene tab and go to parameters there are so many it would be impossible to go thru them all.

Sorry for me being thick but this is first time i tried to fiddle with the nuts and bolts of the program.

Ok i know i should have waited for answer maybe i made matters worse but i went and installed the packages thru DAZ connect it fixed my problem but now i have duplicate files which are taking up space. I still have the same problem though for some characters like Nyssa and Danika since they dont show up for install thru daz connect

  • I meant the actual morphs that load non-zeroed, not the characters thata re loading with the non-zero morphs. DS reads the actual morph files from the asset folder each time, so if a morph iss et to load non-zero it wuill be like that in every scene containing the base figure. Do you have duplicate files (delete the dupes) or duplicate formulas (which may be down to duplicate files)?

  • The duplicates i am referring to are the files that are in the DAZ connect folder, so since i now have them in the base My Library as well as the daz connect folder. The icons in the smart tab now point to the DAZ connect folder but all the data from the DIMM download still exsist in the My Library folder. Its not conflicting in any way but just taking up space. As far as the first part of your answer how do i get to the morphs in the assest folder to reset them?

  • Oh, yes - those duplicates are harmless - or should be.

I'm not sure what you mean by getting to the morphs in the asset folder - reinstalling (for third-party morphs) or resaving with the same names (for your own) will overwrite them.
