V7 gone?

Noticed some of my products were missing so I ran my Re-Import Metadata and now my V7 gone (see attached file).  Now I am still able to load my scenes with V7 with no issues but I am unable to load V7 as a new person.

FWIW you have the materials selected, not the figures, but since the brain-trust at Daz3d decided 4.9 needed to become the harbinger of categorizing I'm not sure what the extent of the issue could be.

  • Try restarting DS.

  • Try right click and refresh both your DAZ3dlibrary folder and your v7 folder or try migrate old content from the little box above your right hand content library display

I have to "Re-Import MetaData" twice, to get it to work...

Consolidating files and compressing the database, or just running it once, tends to break the whole database for me now.

Found a bunch of 0-byte files, and removing them, as well as files that have sizes, but are all "Null" (nothing inside of them, thus, it fails to be read, and won't give an error.) ** NOTE: This was due to a windows backup failing mid-stream while copying my whole data-folder, over 300GB of product data. It looked like the files were the same size, so windows skipped them, though it had only "allocated space" for the file, not actually copied any data over to the allocated space, such as winzip does and sometimes the DIM installers. (Allocated space files are all NULL inside, until the data is actually copied over from RAM or the file direct-writes.)

Though, I think it is a general issue with 4.9 and just not refreshing after actually updating the databases, or it is failing silently, with no logs or user-alerts. The "scans" all finish 100% way before they are actually done. Also, there is no more "what I am doing now", displayed in the window, so you have no idea what it is doing, or if it is actually doing anything at all.

Thank you all for your help.

I was able to correct the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling V7, so simple it worked.
