How resource intensive is this set?
My copy is still downloading. However, Stonemason is geranly a very efficient modeller so the impact should be relatively light for what it is.
I only have a 2GB video card and it works beautifully in Iray GPU only - it's actually pretty quick moving around the scene too, I think (I do have 32 GB memory though)
I was thinking of posting a few renders I did this morning, but after seeing the ones posted already I'm feeling a bit inadequate! Some lovely images on the last page.
Thanks , my titan twins are water cooled , lower temperatures faster GPU plus SC edition ..
Doesn't matter what they are called ... doesn't matter at all.
(And there are streets - water streets)
Amazing renders. Well done, all.
This is in my wishlist. I spent some money on resource kits and a Dreamlight Iray tutorial this time around.
It was 70 F (21 C) and sunny here. Was tough being cooped up today but I needed to move furniture and exercise equipment around the house all day. Wish I could play, but now it's bedtime; working early in the morning.
no people living there ?
a render with some human living please
Cath, awesome renders...you are so talented!
Great render Erik...
@Stonemason, I hope you had no problems with the Earthquake I saw it on the news this morning. They said everyone was okay this time...but I did saw the video of the cliff falling into the sea so I know there was some damage.
thanks
terrifying as usual, big adrenaline rush for the day.but no major damage this time,
that cliff collapse was pretty crazy though
I can only imagine...watching it on Sunrise this morning I was pleased to hear that everyone was okay. Glad that there was no major damage this time...watching the overflow from some of the swimming pools was kinda freaky also...
A few small additions: different place : )
Cheers!
(Octane for DAZ Studio render, as before)
The red glow is from Prototype scanning the scene.
edit: new version
How ironic .. When I do my photography, the last thing I want are random people in the shots lol
Twin Titans! I could go green with envy. All I have is a humble 970, although it does have twin fans and a Ferrari red go-faster stripe.
Cheers,
Alex.
Wish I had one of those, mine's a GTX 770, that last render took over eight hours to get rid of (most of) the noise.
Cheers!
Ferrari Red Go Faster! I saw this Saturday in Vero, Florida.
Didn't realize that is where you were. Stay safe!
ohh LaFerrari!.
one day:)
A lovely set, and on my list right after Chinatown, Old London, and the Walled City. (And any sci-fi living area that might come before I get those. Still enjoying the bedroom and crew quarters. :) )
Thanks for all the awesome Streets of.. products along with everything else you've done Stonemason! Just did a shot with Tuscany with chevybabe's Vincenzina & goldtassel's Dragonfly Hair. I probably should've left the water alone though lol. Looking forward to seeing what's next
Extended the water street and dublicating some of the blocks .. for my old post card
Lovely Cath....I've been busy with work but would really love some more time to play with this set! It's just gorgeous...
..agreed.
So when is the next Stonemason Render Challenge going to occur?
Me to, but if they would willingly let me pose them and wear matching clothing to the scene, they would be very welcome ;-)
Agree :)
Thanks @Pan , @Knittingmommy and @Kyoto Kid , it is a great set to work with
OMG yes, at least my DS characters don't usually photobomb my images. But hmmmm, that could be an interesting contest topic!
It's the worst when you take a picture at any Walmart. Just Google "The people of Walmart". But I warn you...you CAN'T unsee those images!
Got it up and running in Carrara. Needed the UV settings fixing as usual, and the normal maps reattached, but it's none too shabby... :) Renders in about 15 mins on my old i5.
Here is just a quick render from Carrara using the LUXcore Renderengine after only 3 Mins with only a LUXCore Sun and realistic sky.
I know right? Can't get away from the stuff lol.
