Moving a custom Daz library directory:Solved

Hi, all. I've done some cleanup on the drives of my art computer and would like to rearrange some of my content to better fit what there is now, vs what there was when I installed everything two years ago. Basically, the default My DAZ 3D Library - where the Daz store-bought content goes - is on the D drive and in Content Library I also have a custom ZZMyLibrary, where I put content from other places, which has been on my C drive. This has worked well for me all this time.

Now I have an E drive and want to move that ZZMyLibrary from C to E. The main default My DAZ 3D Libary will remain on D. I've forgotten how to create/configure that custom library.

After moving the library folder from C to E, presse F2 in DS, Content tab > Content Directory Manager. Under Daz Studio Formats, redirect the library path on C drive to E drive. Accept.

Great tip. I did not know this.

  • Yep, forgot to check back in and confirm: It was as easy as this. I'm still experimenting with the newly relocated custom directory and haven't deleted the old one yet, but I can see that it's making use of the E drive now. Thanks!
