From Daz Studio 4.8 to Daz Studio 4.9

I don´t know if I am supposed to delete Daz Studio 4.8 before I install Daz Studio 4.9?

I bought some stuff this night but I really don´t know If I am supposed to install the download manager "DAZ3DIM_1.1.0.41_Win32" before I install Daz Studio 4.9?

Can you help?

Don't delete, or no need to; back up 4.8 stuff first; otherwise you can't recover if you need to. Although it may be too late as I presume that 4.9 is showing in DIM?

You might need to uninstall old SQL files and then reinstall PostgreSQL CMS, and PostgreSQL CMS for Valentina; some folks have had issues, why I suggest backing up. I'm using 4.9 beta which is the same build I think. I didn't install the SQLs so Connect (and Smart content) doesn't even try and work. :) But that's me, and some like the new system.

I haven´t deleted anything and still use the old download manager. I haven´t installed anything either!

But the strange thing is that some of the stuff I bought yesterday night was Genesis 2 content... and as far as I know it shouldn´t be necessary to download the content through Download manager 4.9 as it is told on DAZ webpage!

I agree on that I always wait a while before I try out new software... at least 6 months after a new release before I even think about messing around with it. Too many problems always occure with new versions.

I also believe that DAZ must have one of the most complicated file and map systems on this planet... it sucks big time, and I believe the technical support knows that it was built this way from the beginning and that it would take too much time and money to change it all over by now!
