Reimaged computer and directing Daz to backed-up files
So I recently (as in the last week) had to have my laptop basically wiped clean after the Windows 11 upgrade decided to wreck my existence. Before I turned my laptop in, I backed up all my files on an external hard drive. Left them in their corresponding folders and didn't change any names on anything, so all I had to do was drag and drop them right back to where they initially were. Got my computer back tonight and had to reinstall Daz and DIM, AFTER I put all the files back in their pre-wipe places. The problem is that when I launched the Install Manager, nothing was there. It wants me to completely re-download all the content. Normally this wouldn't be a big issue, except I have a LOT of content I've bought, and I don't want duplicates or to erase anything. So how/where do I tell Daz to look to find the original files?

Did you backup the manifest files?
It is the manifest files that DIM uses to keep track of what is installed and where.
If you don't have them, do you then have the zip files or do they get deleted after installation?
Hi felis, I am not aware of what a manifest file is, so probably not. I backed up My Daz3D Library (data, people, runtime, etc), as well as the finished models under the Diffeomorphic folder. If manifest files weren't under either of those, then it may have been removed. Where would those normally be located?
You can look in DIM advanced settings where they are saved.
But it is a seperate place from your content, so not included in what you have listed. It is default somewhere in your User domain on C drive, but I can't remember the default location.
If that is only what you saved, it doesn't sound as your download zips are there either (if you not already have deleted them in the setting).
I am not aware of that you can create manifest files, so I unfortunately don't see other solutions than downloading again.
Maybe somebody else know, but I doubt.
