Smart Content not working [PROBLEM SOLVED]

Drogo NazhurDrogo Nazhur Posts: 1,148

There was a number of options in [Smart Content settings] this tab where if I clicked on a character, I could click on poses and see all the poses available for that character or click on wardrobe and it would shown me the clothing that wwas available for this character. Etc. That is no longer happening since my latest purchase. How do I fix this?

Moved to Technical Help as it is not a Product Suggestion (in search of/would like to see type post).

Are you asking about Simulation Settings in particular or the presets tab in any settings pane? What are you seeing instead of what you expect?

There is the "simulation settings" tab. I don't remember all the thungs that were there previously but I remember seeing "wardrobe" which would show me all the clothing that I owned that would fit this character. If I hit poses, it would show me all of the poses that I own that would work for this character. There were more than a dozen of different options. I don't remember the other options but they are all gone.

PS: I re-installed the program but it didn't help.

Hair is another thing that's missing.

This happened previously --> https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/627081/smart-content-stop-working#latest ... one of the packages that I purchased caused a conflicted. I guess it happened again. Is anyone working on this?

Yes, if something chnages the base compatibility that can stop things showing - reinstall the Starter Essentials.

    Starter essentials for each base?

Just did that. Uninstalled and re-installed all of the starter essentials. Didn't help. The last time this lappened about two years ago, DAZ released a patch to something somewhere and when that was downloaded, it fixed the problem.

Are all figures affected? What about clothing? Do you get any errors relating to PostgreSQL? Do you have any entries in the Content Library under Categories or Products?

I'm not getting any SQL error. And all figures are affected. I'm not seeing any clothing or hair or any smart content for anything.

    I re-installed DAZ and I re-installed all essentials.

Please don't post images with nude, textured figures.

What do you get if you actually click on one of the categories on the left of the pane (with a suitable target selected - these are presets so there needs to be something for them to apply to)?

Sorry. It was a default DAZ character. I didn't think of him as nude.

When I click on it, it shows very little. See attachment. I use to be able to see figures, envirnonments, interiors, exteriors, clothing, hair, poses, etc

You are in Simulation Settings pane > Presets where it just should be like that. You should've checked in Smart Content pane... and if you checked the options of "Filter by Context"....

Thank you ever so much. I feel like a total idiot. Like that cartoon of the scientist who can't get something to work and all the while it wasn't pluged in. Thank you again.
