I am pretty sure there is like one last catch up sale to give people a chance to buy the stuff they missed.

I'm most looking forward to/hoping for Marieah, Phoenix1966, ARTCollaborations, and Male-M3dia/JS Graphics/ForbiddenWhispers). Also kind of hoping for a catch-up sale at the end (like there was after March Madness and other sales), even if it comes at the cost of breaking my budget...

I made a list of seven must-have items to buy during the sale, but I can probably only afford four or so, especially if there are new releases that I can't pass up. None of these PAs have come up yet, and so far I've been good and not bought anything. It was terribly hard to pass on Stonemason's sale, though...and I probably won't be able to resist if his items go on sale again as part of a catch-up day.

@JohnDelaquiox: I have a couple of Morris's DAZ Original characters, and I'd certainly be interested in getting more from that artist if the price is right. Chablis comes with an awesome light preset that I use for lots of character portraits. Aiden's light preset is pretty good too, and renders faster than Chablis's I think.

@RKane_1: Yeah, Valandar is another I'm looking forward to...maybe if his new release is something I need and not too expensive... And RawArt, too. I wish I could afford to buy a bunch of their products and stage an epic battle of Rhinoman, Reptilian, and Minotaur vs. Elebeast, Drakon, and Tauran! :cheese:

Well... given that virtually every active vendor at DAZ participates in this sale, and will appear sometime during the month, a thread like is really quite unnecessary.

As what's-his-name would say, "Patience, Grasshopper... patience!"

I know they pretty much every vendor participates but its more about the ones we are looking forward to.

Yeah, well, what's the point? You know they'll be showing up sooner or later... and posting a thread like this won't make them show up any sooner... so why even do this?

If you were attending a concert at which multiple performers were appearing in sequence, would you sit there during one person's performance and talk about some other performer you were waiting to see? Or would you have enough respect for the person who was "onstage" at the moment to keep quiet and let him have his "time in the spotlight"?

    I can see your point.

Though I don't a thread like this would detract from any of the vendors on sale now.

Maybe it doesn't "detract" from them, but it comes off as exceedingly rude.

To use the concert analogy-- how would you like it if you were up on stage, doing your act, and I, out in the audience, stood up and said, "Oh, well, that's cool and all, but I"m waiting for So-and-So!"?

As a performer, I don't think you'd like it very much. And as an audience member, I would be engaging in behavior that would be considered exceedingly rude and inconsiderate, not only to the performer onstage, but to the other audience members. In a real-life concert, that kind of behavior would likely cause me to be escorted out of the auditorium by the security personnel.

Well, I think it was a great idea to celebrate those PA's that we're looking forward to. I personally wish there were more threads like this one! ;-) Thanks for sharing! :)

Now you are taking the concert analogy too far. And I go to a lot of concerts.

No one would ever get banned from a concert or any event for talking about what they are looking forward to.

Normally people are like for example. This Band Rocks but I so totally looking forward to seeing, Mudvayne, Creed, Slipknot, System of a Down, or who ever the headliner is.

In the PA Sale all the vendors are headliners.

They all have amazing great products but there is always something people really can't wait to see.

I missed the Stone Mason sale and will probably miss a bunch more. Its still nice to see them go on sale.

Like for instance one of your sets that I could really dig but can't get right now is the backdrops set and expansion and your From The Deep set.

Seriously, if I were System of a Down I would be too excited to shut up about it while slipnot was on. -nodnod-

There's a zillion that I've been hanging out for their days, but due to finances (ugh, like everyone) I narrowed it down to 3 that i was REALLY hanging out for and could afford to do a mega-sweep through their store. LOL :-) Blondie9999 is the first and I had to prise my CC out of my hubby's iron-like grip this morning so I could make myself happy (and as my family knows, a happy mama means EVERYONE in the family is happy...heh heh) And now, Off to the Rendering Machine with Mah Goodies!!!!!! :-)

Could be, those guys are a real wild bunch.

My brother and I were lucky enough to go to their last concert. We could not shut up about it being their last concert. It was AWESOME!!

We also saw creeds last concert before they did the solo projects and their first reunion concert.

Yeah I am on the same boat, Only I'm not married. and I'm a dude.

I have had to narrow it down to three my self this year as well.

Right now times are so hard I can't afford to get the products I really want and get the ones I really need. And this year its the ones I really really need.

Like I really really need The Urban Future Bundle.

Sorry if we caused offence...it didn't occur to me that a currently-featured PA might view this discussion that way. :red:

For the record I own a blondie9999 product and I'm likely to buy more, just can't afford everything I want at this time. As far as I'm concerned all PAs are great and while each of us may have our favorites, it's not a matter of some doing better work than others, but that some products are more needed in my runtime than others, given my goals and what I own already.

This is my first PA sale so I wasn't aware that nearly all active PAs participate (though I might have guessed as much). That's good to know.

Don´t be upset, blondie9999. You have gotten a lot of love from me yesterday, or rather from my credit card. ;-) So this thread surely did not cause you any harm. You have very cool products, it´s a pity I cannot afford to buy them all. Next sale you definitely will be on my list of PA´s I am looking forward.

@ForbiddenWhispers: for this sale, I compressed my lengthy wish list into a very short "need list," and as none of the products on it have come up yet, you could say I'm still (ahem) saving myself. And who knows:

    I'm most looking forward to/hoping for Marieah, Phoenix1966, ARTCollaborations, and Male-M3dia/JS Graphics/ForbiddenWhispers)

The first PA I bought from back in February was Neftis3D. Yes, I naively bought PA products just a few days before they went on sale during March Madness. So that was also my first support ticket. :-P

Well, you'll be pleased to know that...... I have several PA sale items this year. Been working my little butt off! No doubt we'll be posting commercial threads near to our PA days.... So be on the lookout. ;)

    YAY!

And what exactly was someone supposed to be offended at? At a concert with several bands playing, I doubt the band would think twice if someone were to go to the veonding machine or have a conversation on the lawn or such. If they did, they would probably be labelled as overly sensitive and would probably lose a lot of respect from the rock crowd. However, if they just 'brought it" while they were on stage and didn't give a crap what anyone else was doing.... well... respect would go up.

As to the point of this thread? I think it is awesome and it IN NO WAY interrupts appreciation for those PA's who have posted their work or WILL post their work here. History will only record those PA's who "brought it" and THOSE will be the PA's with the "bigger audience" next year.

And STILL so looking forward to Valandar. :)

Yes I have a rather long list of Genesis products from your shop I still need to get.

Triclops being one and hero factory being another.

Those are the two I want the most.
