Need Advice On How To Light A Character During the Day

I'm working on my first daytime scene. First scene is to show the area first which has the character, sort of a wide shot. Orestes Iray HDRI Skydomes - Summer Day is being used to provide light which has a Sun.

Is it enough to light the scene? Do I need to use anything to resemble the Sun?

Currently I have the Environment Intensity set at: .60. See TBDT EI 1

I'm not sure if or what needs adjusting in Evironment Tone Mapping? See TBDT TM 1

Also have a question about if I've set up the Camera correctly? See TBDT Camera 1

Should I use V3Digitimes Scene Optimizer to help render the scene as my computer is old?

Thnak You in advance for your replies.

You don't need to add anything to resemble a Sun if you've already got good ambient light in the scene. For such a daytime scene, as long as the exposure looks fine (no more no less), you don't have to touch settings in Tone Mapping.

As for the camera, since it's a wide-angle composition in which you don't have something focused, then you don't really need a DOF, i.e. just like you shoot a landscape / cityscape with a DSLR ~~

Monitor VRAM usage with GPU-Z, if you don't run out of VRAM, you don't need to use scene optimizer.

    Thanks for replying @crosswind

The EV is set at default 13.0.  The EI is currently set at .60. When the Environment Intensity is set to 1. It's very bright. So I lowered it to .60. Does the environment look good in the pics?

    Looks fine to me...

That said, in many cases photographers and film makers will use additional lighting (literal lights or reflectors) to fine tune the lighting even for well lit outdoor scenes. The question is not usually "is it right" but "does it look the way I want it?"
