Best way to achieve SoftBody effects

Greetings,

let's say that i have a nice spherical object in my DAZ scene, like a ball. It is nicely textured, and with a good lighting source it renders quite realistically and nice.

Now i want to render that ball squeezed to death! Like in the attached image below.

I love DAZ to death, but i gave up long ago the hope for a realistic and easy SoftBody Collision engine.

So, what can you advise me? Blender? Some other software? What is the best/easiest way for you?

For clarification, i'd like to create the effect in this software and then return to DAZ for rendering.

Thank You in advance!

The problem is not what software you should use to do the softbody effect, the problem is that in order to be accurate, you will need to animate your genesis figure in that external software, squeezing that ball so that when you bring the deformed ball back into DS, it looks right in the hand.

Look around the Daz forums, there are some good dForce threads floating around that discuss how to do different things.  In short, to accomplish this task in Daz Studio, you need expansion, stretching and inflation.

You will also need a high res model to get better detailing from.
