DAZ Studio 4 - A Qt behind the others

I was looking through the program files for something today and popped open Designer. Wow has Daz Studio 4 had a long run. The interface is run on Qt version 4.8.7 which was last updated in December of 2011. Lucky 13 years ago. It is doing pretty good for a senoir software citizen although I think senility might have set in. laugh

Will the elusive Daz Studio 5 be built on Qt 6 LTS?

In order to maintain the SDK (plug-in) compatibility the Qt version used could not be changed. Part of the reason for a new major version (DS5, or whatever it is called) is to upgrade to a newer version of the Qt framework - with the unavoidable breaking of plug-ins and some scripts - while DS4 will remain available in our product libraries for backward compatibility.

Latest QT version is 6.8. Not sure but I guess DS5 is developed with QT 5... like Marvelouse Designer. QT 7 is approaching...

See this post in the Daz Studio 5 development update thread for "the official word" on next QT version to be used.

Ah, hah... Richard said it would not use QT5, and then you said QT8 (kidding?). So,nearly 3 years passed, what version are they using, or nothing happened?
