Do I have what I need to reinstall 4.8?

After running in to problems with "new"  tagging in Daz Studio 4.9 Pro, I am seriously considering going back to Daz Studio 4.8.0.59 Pro.  I thought I had the install.exe file for 4.8 backed up, but I realize i only have the two DIM files:  .dsx and .zip.

Are those the ones I need to reinstall version 4.8?  Am I safe in uninstalling 4.9 or will that uninstall DIM as well?  I do need the DIM in order to reinstall the two  4.8 DIM files, don't I?

But are you sure, that this reflects the intermediate updates for 4.8, that came afterwards via DIM?

Andy - it would probably be the most recent update, since any new DIM files with the same name would have overridden the old ones.

How do I use my backed up files to reinstall 4.8? Even though those files are in the DIM downloads directory, DIM isn't recognizing them. It wants me to download and install the 4.9 files, which I do not want to do.

Do I just extract the files from the zip into the Program Files->DAZ 3D->DAZStudio4 folder? Or is there more to it?

Make sure DIM is offline, otherwise it will see the 4.9 update and offer only that.

Thank you. That did the trick. I'm now back up and running.
