The Kids 4 won't load though I see it in Content Library???

I downloaded and installed via the DIM, but I click on the only icon of it on Content Library I can find and it states:

This script is not intended to be run standalone. IT is intended to be run as a result of loading an ExP enabled "The Kids 4" based figure from the Content tab. Rename this file to match the name of the intended .cr2 to continue.

It sounds like you installed the powerloader but not the base files, or installed them to different locations.

  • Thanks for responding. I installed both. And they did install in their own wierd place  /runtime/libraries/!Daz/the Kids 4/ etc..

I do have content going to a specific area and it did 'go there' but then added a ton of their own folders. Also... I do see it in the Content Library on DazS 4.9. I see the Kids 4 thumbnail and click on it and only get the above message.

Also to remind, I used the Daz Install Manager.

  • ALSO... in the same folder I have Genesis 2 Base Male & Female and they work. Hmm...

  • Hmm... also... does the Content Library not see .obj files??? I found an obj of the Kid in Geometries/DazPeople but it won't show up in the Content Library?

Kids 4 is in Poser format, not in native DS format like Genesis 2. So it works a bit differently.

No, content library doesn't show .obj files, and you don't load the obj directly anyway as all you would get is a static object. What you want to load is the Kids 4 cr2 file, which is the figure.

It should be found in Content Library (not Smart Content), under Poser Format > Figures > DAZ People. On your hard drive that would be under Runtime > Libraries > Character > DAZ People

Oh and the folder which contains the "Runtime" folder needs to be registered as a Poser Content directory in DS, or you won't see the files in the library.

  • Ok... I found in Poser Formats... after registing methinks. My content library IS SUCH A MESS! files and folders all over the place.   Thanks!

Those are the morph data files — you should never see them directly in the Content tab as something you can click on to load, they're the data that's called on by the morph INJ scripts (in the Pose library folder), which load them onto a K4 figure which must already be in the scene. If you can see these files in the Content tab, then there's something weird going on between DIM and D|S disagreeing on installation locations.

Note that most of these "files all over the place" are of the same type; not content you can click on to load something, but data called up by the content you click on.

Or there's something very wrong with the way the folders are mapped in Studio...

  • Hey thanks everybody!!! I got it to work via Poser Formats yes. Even the morph inject thingamajig! Thanks.
