Texture Tiling in the Bump and Normal channel

Hi Guys,
I am quite new to the Daz Studio shader setup and I wonder if one of the Daz guru's could help me with a little problem.
I'm trying to use tiled textures in the Bump and Normal channel, but cannot find a way of activiting the tiling option in these channels, independantly of the diffuse texture channel.
Is it possible to have tiling activated in the bump and normal channels, whilst having the diffuse and specular channels etc not using tiling.??
Cheers,
S.K.

That depends. The default 3Delight shaders don't, you can fairly easily make your own independent tiling in Shader Mixer though (or there's a store product to do it for you). In Iray tiling is an image property, so as long as you are using different images for the different parameters you can adjust them separately - click the little image thumbnail next to the parameter, select Image Editor from the menu, and adjust.
Thanks Richard, :)
You are correct, I was trying to do this with the 3Delight Shaders.., I think I will just convert surfaces to Iray shaders as I am GPU rendering..

Hello!
I saved different bumps for shaders, with independent tiling scales and these work excellent on plain colors and even over existing item's textures... like loading the base texture and then applying a bump over it.
But I went ahead and decided to make also tiled patterns to mix and match with the existing bumps I had and when applying them, the last option applied, in ex, the bump, changes the color pattern tiling size also.
Like one overwrites other. I don´t know if I am doing something wrong or if is the program... I tested it with other merchants shaders and does the same.
Maybe something I am missing????
Thanks!!!!
Which shader are you using, for which render engine?
Hi!
These are shaders I did for fabrics. Iray.
Thanks!
In Iray tiling is an image property - if you find the parameter to which the image is applied, click the little image symbol to the left of the slider, and select Image Editor from the menu you can adjust the tiling for that image (which will affect it wherever it is used in the scene).
Hi Richard, theres a way to save the Image Editor Tiling information only, so I can apply to any other shader? For example, I want to apply a tilling only to normal map in many shaders, I dont want to habe to open the editor many times, so saving this information only can save a lot of work.
Not as far as I know, if you want to be able to adjust the tiling on different maps. it should be scriptable, there is some discussion in the scripting forum of accessing and modifying image properties.
Cool, thanks I wii take a look
