System crash after loading an older scene

Hi,
I'm trying to update my older Gino pack that I think I released for a bit at 'Rosity and then closed my store there after some issue with things there. Gino was created back in 2019. I was experiencing some really odd behavior when rendering, the Sclera was rendering transparent and there was NO transparency turned on. So I loaded up the default Materials for Genesis 8 to see if the issue was on my end or something odd going on. It was on my end but still have no recollection of what it might be but during that render with the default materials my system went down. I had nothing else running but my browser but wasn't doing anything so not sure what that was all about. Maybe it was a fluke but wanted to check in with the community here to see if others are having similar issue with older scenes.

it's been a while back when we had a row of odd surface bugs hapepning with characters, I remember there was a reason and a solution for that discussed in the forum but don't recall what it was(it might as well still have been with genesis 3 figures). Also there was the bug with the sclera rednering odd when you moved the character too far from the center point, that as well was solved in newer versions of DAZ
But sure it would help if we knew what version of DAZ studio you use. And some other informations about your render
I always keep my DS up to date so what ever the 4.23XXX is and the render was just a test render. I even turned off all the elements like eyelashes, my scruff and my eyebrows I made for Gino. So there was nothing to slow down the test render. Just Genesis 8 in the scene.
I suppose the characer is not in the shop anymore so you can't link to it for others who own it to check how it behaves?
but maybe you can make a screenshot of the surface parameters for the sclera, then I can see if something looks off
Hi,
Gino is my character I made so I can't link it! LOL
I have some time coming up later today or tomorrow and I'll run so more tests.
I was just curious if others have had full system crashes using older saved scene files. And if so how did the resolve the issues with the scene files, if at all.
Thank you
One of the things to check would be any images saved in tif format - I believe that those crash newer versions of iray whereas in the past they didn't.
No TIF's only JPG and PNG
Well if you posted the scene, or private messaged it one of us could check if it crashed our latest DAZ, we'd have to replace Gino with someone else when DAZ didn't find it. Or give us a month in 2019 when the scene was last opened and I can look to see if I have a scene I haven't opened from that same month and year.
It seems to be the ntoskrnl.exe
I've run a scan on my system checks out. I THOUGHT I had it figured out as my test renders were running again and I started making my updates. I went into the kitched to start breakfast and came back to another BSOD
Here is the Powershell results.

Going by MS recommended fixes, I unpugged, dusted out the computer, reseated the memory modules and I guess I'll try again and see if that helped.
Not sure but I think it might have helped. I updated quite a few shaders and no BSOD or anything like that. We shall see as I continue to work out some of these updates. I'm planning on adding in Filatoon options too for Gino so have the converter but I slept like crap last night so not going to tackle that today! LOL
