Question on morphs: copy a pose morph and convert it into a shape morph, possible?

Hello, I have a question on morphs.

Is it possible to copy a pose morph for example and convert/transform it into a shape morph?

The reason I want to do this is asymetry. An example:

I want different breast hights but want not to use the pose morphs for that. So is it possible to copy the both breast up/down pose morphs and create shape morphs out of them so I have them twice, as shape morph and as pose  morphs.

In DAZ studio without using another software.

  • Yes.  The attached viewport captures show the Breast Up Left pose on G3F (left), exported as an object then re-imported via Morph Loader Pro as a morph (right).

This is not what I meant

You have a pose morph for breast left up/down, so can I copy this morph and make a shape morph out of it so that I have the breast left up/down morph as pose morph and as shape morph, having it twice, means using the shape morph as RAW VALUE for example.

  • So whata re you wanting, a slider under shaping that controls the slider under pose? Yes, you could do that - right-click on the Parameters pane and put it in Edit mode, right-click and Create a new property with the name, path and type (Modifier>Shape) you want, set both to 100%, right-click on the new property and select ERC Freeze, check that the pose control is the only thing listed as a sub component, click Accept, then save as a morph asset (File>Save as>Support Assets>Moprh Asset).

Hmm I think so, hmm. The thing is:

In my opinion areola diameter and nipples (nipple length) morphs are not only shape morphs but also pose morphs for example. Shape morphs for me are morphs that creates your character, pose morphs for me are morphs that changes poses of your character like breast up/down and hanging forward or flatten. The result of this is that the areola diamater and also nipples (nipple lenght) are also poses as well as shapes. The shape morphs are giving the character the standard base look (the raw values) but the pose morphs are giving the "action" look, don`t know how I can explain what I mean, maybe it is clear to you.

Right now, I have to use a pose preset for a specific pose and additional to that a shape preset for the nipples and areola diameter if I want that they look errected (just an example). So I have to use to presets, a pose and a shape preset for one pose. If areola diameter and nipples morphs are also pose morphs I will be able to save and load just a pose preset. You now may say why not saving a charater preset but I had some problems with character presets in the past so I just want to use pose morphs for poses and not character presets. Well I have made some shape presets of G3F I need often but as written, I have to load a pose preset and then the shape preset, would be easier to save the whole look as a pose preset.

A properties preset will save both morph and pose settings.

check that the pose control is the only thing listed as a sub component? Actor is also listed as a sub component, does it mean that I can choose what is listed before clicking accept?

Richard Haseltine You are a life saver :) I have a lot of assets without morphs, only poses. Your advice helped like a charm.
