Old Shaders and DS Iray

I'm relatively new to DAZ Studio (been a poser user forever, though). So, it might seem completely silly to some to ask, but I have to wonder before spending money on them, will they all work when I apply the DAZ Uber Iray converter? I expect most will. But some are more complex (such as those that create multiple layers) and I don't know if import settings will get lost during the initial conversion. I realize some setting will not get put into the right place, but I'm more concerned with things that rely on the underlying shader systems that might be outright incompatible.

The product that I'm currently look at is Stonemason's DAZ Studio Dirt Shaders: http://www.daz3d.com/daz-studio-dirt-shaders but there are others too. The promos don't indicate iray, so I assume they were rendered in 3dlight, which is fine, but because they don't appear to be simple texture maps, I worry that converting them to work properly with iray will either be 1) impossible or 2) beyond my skills (i.e. I can click on the uber shader thing and then adjust the various settings as well as any newbie....but....i'm not even intermediate at this sort of thing).

Any thoughts?

If they don't say Iray, they probably are 3DL only.

I THINK every 'special shader' is going to be 3DL. Other than my freebies (listed in my sig), I don't think anyone's actually selling specialty shaders in the Daz store, yet. (Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

I own the dirt shader you mention. It's awesome... and 3DL only. The texture maps can be useful in Iray, but I don't know if I'd pay that money for it.

One of the huge benefits of 3DL IS all that special shader stuff, which can create some incredible and useful effects -- I own the projection shaders (Shades of Life), Dirt shaders, PWEffects, AoA Grass shaders, and many more, and they are amazing.

I will also point out that you can create some rather realistic looking stuff in 3DL. Look at Stonemason's products -- most of the promos are 3DL.
