*Hot Take* Glossy skin shaders lead to more sales and keep 'em coming back for more.

I can't tell you how many times I've dug through my archives looking for that one glossy material to throw on a figure to add that extra (major) oomph. I literally hit a dopamine dip when the pack has absolutely everything, glossy lips, metallic eyeshadow, but not having that quick glossy skin feature, sends me to the valleys. Test out adding that to you figures this year. Lets do some market research.

I'm still the average buyer, and even with dedicating these past 3 years to 3D, the merchant level, besides poses, is still well beyond my grasp. This is something the initiate will latch on to. I guarantee it.

Do you just want a more glossy skin overall?

Which generation characters are you using?

Yes. I always gravitate towards figure packs that have glossy/moisture selections. As well as superior skin materials with equal normals/bump/etc. maps. I really love Genesis 9. I use both, equally, I would say.

You are aware that you can modify Dual Lobe settings in surface settings, to make it more glossy - potentially Reflectivity and Roughness?

Yes, I understand that you can tweak Dual Lobe settings to increase glossiness, but that's not the core issue I'm addressing. My point is that DAZ is attracting more new users, many of whom may not discover surface settings for a long time, if ever. Not everyone dives into shader tweaking right away, and the more accessible high-quality materials are, the more likely customers are to return for future purchases.

By including built-in glossy/more advanced skin shaders as an option in products, you remove an unnecessary learning curve that could frustrate buyers who just want great results out of the box. This leads to a better user experience, increased satisfaction, and ultimately more repeat customers. It's about adding value upfront to make the products more appealing to a broader audience.
