I was given the version of the survey asking why I wasn't a member anymore. They asked for my opinion, and that's what they got. I fear I wasn't very kind with my responses, and I didn't limit my answers to only Premier/DAZ+.issues. Other issues I touched on were related though, as they do have a real bearing on my willingness to pay for a subscription because they make me to be more "thoughtful" of my purchases here.
Anyway, I hope my less that enthusiastic attitude doesn't cause my response to be totally ignored.
I think Cam Fox was talking about people like me - I had DAZ+ through to July 2026 (i.e.21 months still to run when they introduced Premier) and was offered a mighty 2 months of Premier = not a very good offer! There are (many?) others in a similar position. Needless to say I didn't upgrade and will sit tight till July 2026.
So you say instead of 21 Months DAZ+ you got only 2 Months Premier? Or did you missread it and they mean 23 Months Premier?
No misread - I was offered a swap of 21 months of DAZ+ for 2 months of Premier only. No deal!
Apparently it was based on the actual price paid for those 21 months - I happened to pick up a couple of annual renewals at a really low price due to Daz's own stacking sales.
She didn't misread it.
I got Daz+ till april 2026, and I am offered 2 months Premier.
My deal was pretty much the same. I think the offer only looked at what you paid the last time. I had got a good deal for that year, but had paid about $50 the year before that, so was disappointed with what I was offered. Not surprisingly, I ignored it.
Same
After I heard how lousy the offers were, I wasn't interested in trading my Sept 2025 DAZ+ membership for, what a week of Premiere? Since then I have watched the so called offers and characters, not impressed. When I answered the annual membership question, I wasn't sure what they were referring too. I think I hit midway on the bar. As of now, haven't used either Feb Daz+ coupon. Can't afford the buy-in as I am having to be cautious with disposable income now. Really need to get a winning lotto ticket.
ahhh life in the coporate world act now fix later (ANFL)
Pronounced aweful.
Thankfully I have unitl December, as PC+, to decide what I am going to do. So far I am questioning the point of renewing at all.
As far I judege, from the many, many posts when Premiere started, DAZ+ users were offered a Premiere membership time measured by what they really PAID for their remaining DAZ+ membership time. And as many people paid less than the basic price, but often got the DAZ+ year-long membership for 50% off (or less) of the normal price, they got only what they paid or rather what was left as paid DAZ+ membership, resulting in people with 12+ month DAZ+ left getting only one or two months of Premiere offered.
Not a deal I would have taken or would call anywhere close to "good"
My Daz+ runs until October 2026 (2 years from the time of their exchange offer), and I was also offered 2 months of Premier in exchange. I did not accept that offer. At least they gave us an option, but still, I felt it was ridiculous. I actually felt insulted.
Judging from the forum discussions back in October, you are an outlier. Many of us, for their remaining 8-12 months of Daz+ got an offer for 1 month of Premier, same as people who only had 1-3 months of Daz+ left, and it was a hardly what me and others would consider "a good deal".
I did the survey yesterday. Today they sent me the same survey email. I guess they didn't get enough of an earful yesterday.
I did compliment the Daz developers for Studio updates and frequent Betas, and I complimented Cris and Richard for their help in the forums.
I didn't get a survey.
My purchases are down, since I'm mostly not on board with Genesis 9, while Daz has decided to key practically every sale to buying new Genesis 9 stuff. I didn't renew Daz+ at the end of August 2024, so didn't get any buyout offer for Premier for Daz+, good or bad. I haven't picked up Premier, since it seems to be of minimal benefit if one isn't very interested in Genesis 9. Daz has priced very old models high most of the time for people who don't have a membership, so I'm not building my collection of those except rarely.
The Daz store website is still dysfunctional. Daz decided to stop paying the people who made it tolerably functional (Daz Deals), meaning it would cost me an extra $60/year. No.
Since I can't look at the wishlist and see what's on sale any more, I usually don't keep one. I have a wishlist temporarily for March Madness. After I spend $24-$30 this month I'm removing it again, since I'm happier not keeping track of what I don't have, if keeping track of it usually isn't going to make anything easier. And usually it doesn't.
Was it to the same email? They haven't given me a second chance (yet, at least).
I just took the survey.
This was my last comment:
"I've been using DAZ for over fifteen years now and really enjoy 3D Rendering. Heck, I even enjoy shopping the DAZ Store (but some of your sales are just mind-boggling and not worth the mental gymnastics) but with moves like monthly (or even Annual) subscriptions it pushes me more and more into the arms of MidJourney. Not the same as 3D rendering, but also not a bleeding money-teet. I'm on the fence right now, and some of your latest revenue-generating developments have me feeling wobbly."
yeah, i didn't get the survey either. Guess my lack of spending lately took me off the mailing list, LOL
maybe because I have all email notifications turned off....
I remember now, the koalas were eating them all
Mine's far from impressive, but I still got it. Maybe it was random? Who knows.
Yes it was to the same email address (the one I use for my Daz account). The contents of the two Daz email messages looks identical. Here is a screenshot of my email message list from Daz for the 25th and 26th. The two survey messages are highlighted. Do you think that means they didn't receive my response to the first one? The survey appeared to complete successfully.
...I got another one, the same one, today (Wednesday).
I got one asking why I didn't renew membership. My reply was the incredibly short version. I could've written an essay but talking to brick walls is getting old.
Oh look, another boring white chick dropped today. I did mention in my survey how boring their bundles are with the preponderance of boring white chicks and their boring bundles. Look what we get: Cupcake hair and a wedding dress! Be still my heart! Not going to re-up for that! Did I mention my boredom with it all?
Could you link to this please I couldn't seem to see any baby chickens in the new releases.
Just in case: there really is quite a good-looking chick. Not new, though. https://www.daz3d.com/pip-the-chick

using the link dialogue in the comment box avoids superfelous characters
I have Pip, thank you, but I was being sarcastic about the offensive and insulting language being used.
Same.
Unfortunately, I was a bit distracted when I filled out the survey because I'd meant to talk about the Premiere-only content and how it wasn't worth it because you only have them while you have a subscription. I don't want to get stuck with characters I've spent tons of time tweaking only to find out that I can't use them any more because they included content that was yanked away from me.
I'd assumed the replies were not linked to our accounts - when the reward has been credit we have had to enter our account email to get it, as I recall.
I also got a good offer, since my Daz Plus was approaching renewal when Premier launched! Unfortunately other folks who had months or years of Daz Plus banked got disagreeable offers.
