Vanishing File?

in The Commons
I had an animation shot set up in Daz. At first it stopped rendering so I rebooted the program. Now it says the file is basically empty with a size of 10 bytes. So all that work basically vanished. This is a PC so I don't think there's a autosave version as there might have been on a Mac. Is there any way to resurrect the missing content?

Windows does have File History, though it is not on by default, and if your content has been "backed up" to OneDrive that may keep old versions.
Thanks. But why did this happen? Never happened before in years of using Daz?
It sounds like an OS issue, possibly that was both what caused the render to stop and damaged the file.
Thanks. I'll look into that. An update that I think the matter is simply that my hard drive is packed full. Need to offload some stuff in order to free up some space to save new files.
Yes, a literally full drive could well cause the render to fail when it ran out of space for the temp files, and might well have damaged the open file when it was force-closed.
